Restoring Critical Boiler Operations at North Carolina A&T

When a central utility plant serves an entire university campus, there is little room for downtime. At North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, aging boiler systems failed and required a major response to restore critical operations.

With an enrollment of more than 15,000 undergraduate and graduate students in Greensboro, NC, North Carolina A&T is the largest historically black college or university (HBCU) in the United States with a sprawling campus.

AC Corporation, a Crete United company, partnered closely with the project team on a large-scale mechanical infrastructure upgrade that included new boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel lines, and extensive piping work throughout the facility.

“This was not an easy project,” the customer shared. “Just knowing that they had the experience and the know-how to tackle certain situations made the resolution easy to figure out and move forward.”
