Every day, Crete United employees show up with a shared purpose: to deliver exceptional work while protecting what matters most, our people.
June is National Safety Month, a time to reinforce a commitment that extends far beyond a single month. Established by the National Safety Council to raise awareness around preventable injuries, National Safety Month serves as a reminder that creating safe workplaces requires constant attention, accountability, and action. Safety is a key core value at Crete United and a responsibility shared across every operating company, jobsite, and role throughout our network.
The work we do is essential. Our teams build, maintain, and service the systems that keep facilities, businesses, and communities running. Every day, we perform complex work in environments that require focus, preparation, and sound decision-making. Success is built on expertise and craftsmanship, but it also dependent on a commitment to safety.
A strong safety culture is built through the choices people make every day.
This month, and every month, take the time to identify hazards before work begins. Follow established procedures, stopping work when conditions change, speaking up, asking questions, and looking out for the people working beside you.
These actions may seem routine, but they are the foundation of a workplace where people can do their best work and return home safely at the end of the day.
Across the Crete United network, our operating companies bring together generations of expertise, local relationships, and talented teams. While the work may vary from one project to the next, our commitment to safety remains constant.
National Safety Month is an opportunity to reflect on the role each of us plays in creating safer workplaces. Whether in the field, in a facility, behind the wheel, or in the office, every employee contributes to the culture we build together.
At Crete United, safety is not something we do because we have to. It is part of who we are. As Dwight Abshire, Vice President of HSEQ, says, “Safety is a core value. It’s a shared responsibility. We take it seriously because we care about the well-being of every employee in our organization.” That commitment guides the decisions we make on every jobsite, every project, and every day.
This month, and every month, we remain focused on the same goal: creating safe environments and ensuring every person goes home safe.
