Incentives

Inflation Reduction Act
  • Provides tax credits for commercial solar systems based on installation costs and/or electricity produced over time

Regulations

Energy Conservation Program (DOE)
  • Requires lightbulbs to emit a minimum of 45 lumens per watt, effectively outlawing the manufacture and sale of common incandescent bulbs
FERC Order 2222
  • Provides funding for the improvement of the U.S. power infrastructure, including thousands of miles of new, resilient transmission lines
  • Establishes funding for research into energy sources, including solar, which will continue to decrease costs
ESG Disclosure
  • Will/would require SEC to issue rules that define ESG metrics and publicly traded companies to disclose and describe how those ESG metrics affect their business strategy annually
