At Crete United, leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about impact. That’s why we’re proud to recognize our CEO, Mike Cox, for being named one of Charlotte Business Journal’s 2025 Most Admired CEOs in the Energy category!
This honor reflects more than just Mike’s individual achievement — it’s a milestone for our entire team. Under his leadership, Crete has grown from a bold idea into a national force, committed to transforming the built environment. From our safety-first culture to our industry-shaping performance, Mike’s vision has become the heartbeat of how we operate.
His mantra says it all: “Title means nothing. Your behavior means everything.” Mike leads by example — and our results prove it. In 2024 alone, we cut our TRIR by 65%, planted roots in new communities (literally), and set a standard for excellence that reaches far beyond the bottom line.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Mike brings discipline, empathy, and mission clarity into every room. He doesn’t just talk about accountability and transparency — he lives it. And his leadership reminds us that when we invest in our people, we build something far more valuable than buildings: we build trust, resilience, and purpose.
On June 5th, we’ll join others in honoring Mike at the awards ceremony — but today, we celebrate his leadership that continues to drive us forward.
Congratulations, Mike! Your vision is shaping the future of Crete United — and redefining what leadership looks like across our industry.
